A 57-year-old woman presenting with fever and pulmonary infiltrates
The clinical history of a 57-year-old woman, who presented with high fever, dyspnea and weight loss is described. Radiologically, pulmonary infiltrates were observed in the left lung, together with multiple and nodular parenchymal lesions in both lungs.
Based on these clinical and radiological features and on the histopathological diagnosis of “endogenous lipoid pneumonia”, a radiopneumonitis caused by the recent adjuvant breast cancer radiotherapy was diagnosed and treated.
